The Afghan Hound Club of Scotland held an open show where BIS was Khamis T’Pau, RBIS Javidan Have a Nice Day & BP Tulak the Navigator at Dargai.
I enjoyed my day with the club & was pleased with the quality of the dogs in my final line-up.
MPD - McPhillip’s Tulak the Navigator at Dargai, 8 months B/M gold who is full of quality & shows great promise for the future, well balanced throughout & maintains balance on the move, masculine head with profusion of puppy whiskers & dark triangular eye shape giving an aloof playful expression, head carried well on the move by a long well muscled neck, well laid back shoulder with good return of upper arm which allowed good extension in front on the move, deep chest with good spring of rib & short well muscled loin, ring tailset on low & carried out on the move, well muscled rear with good bend of stifle, moved effortlessly across the ground with style & I am sure he will mature well, presented well.BPD, BPIS

PGD - Anderson & Elliot’s Finix Veldricken, B/T that was well balanced throughout & presented immaculately, masculine head with dark triangular eyes, strong underjaw & good chiselling giving good expression, long neck & well laid back shoulders, deep chest to elbows with good spring of rib, short well muscled loin with tailset on low,well bent stifles with good muscletone & well let down hocks, moved well covering the ground with ease.
LD - Black & Howies’ Chinzaes Just an Affair, 4 years B/M gold of correct size & well balanced, masculine head with aloof expression from those dark triangular eyes which was enhanced by the chiselling, well muscled long neck carried his head proudly on the move, good lay of shoulder& deep chest with good spring of rib, short well muscled loin. Ring tailset slightly higher than I would prefer. Well muscled rearquarters & good bend of stifle which allowed him to drive well from the rear & cover the ground effortlessly, in good muscletone & handled well.
OD - O’Donnell’s Javidan Dirty Little Secret, 4 years BL/B well balanced throughout, superb muscletone & gleaming coat. More refined than the other dogs but he has plenty of breed type. Head in proportion to body with good expression & carried well on the move, well laid back shoulders with good return of upper arm allowing good front extension whilst moving, deep chest with good spring of rib, short loin with tailset on low, good bend of stifle covered with strong muscles to allow drive from the rear, well let down hocks, pleasing both on the eye & to go over him, moved stylishly with ease over the ground. VD - McPhillip’ CH Tulak the Patriot at Dargai, 10-1/2 years B/M gold grizzle dog who I have always admired & a real pleasure to go over him as he is such a gentleman & full of breed type, I could easily have taken him home. Masculine head with powerful underjaw, aloof expression from dark triangular eyes & exquisite chiselling, well laid back shoulders with good return of upper arm, deep chest with good spring of rib & well muscled short loin, ring tailset on low & carried out on the move, well bent stifles & good muscletone for his age, overall a well balanced dog who is in superb condition for his age. On the move he was showing his age a little against the youngsters in the challenge but still covered the ground with style, maintaining a level topline at all times & pushed hard in the challenge. YB - Leitch’s Khamis T’Pau,18 months G/BR & my find of the day, I fell in love with this young lady as soon as I saw her enter & going over her was a real pleasure as she was so full of type. A picture of balance both stacked and on the move & in first class condition, a real credit to her owner, an exquisite feminine head with strong underjaw, dark triangular eyes, good chiselling giving an aloof expression, long well muscled neck carried the head proudly on the move, well laid back shoulders with good return of upper arm enabling good extension from the front, deep chest to elbows with good spring of rib,short well muscled loin with ring tailset on low & carried out on the move, good bend of stifle to rear with good muscletone & well let down hocks, on the move she maintained a level topline & covered the ground with style easily driving well from the rear. One I am sure will do well in her career & to watch in the future. BB, BIS
GB - Westgarth’s Bichoux Bella For Tamareesha, B/Silver of good overall balance & in good condition, feminine head with aloof expression from triangular eyes, good front assembly which had good muscletone, good depth of chest & fair spring of rib, short loin with ring tailset on low, good bend of stifle with well let down hocks. Presented well but not so happy on the move & so not showing her best.
PGB - O’Donnell’s Javidan Have a Nice Day, 4 years BL/B of correct size & well balanced throughout, full of breed type & a pleasure to go over her. One I would have been happy to take home. Feminine head with good underjaw, aloof expression from dark triangular eyes, long neck carried head well on the move, well laid back shoulders & good depth of chest with fair spring of rib, well muscled short loin with ring tailset on low, well muscled rearquarters with good bend of stifle & well let down hocks, on the move she covered the ground with style easily driving well from the rear & extending in front whilst maintaining a level topline, in first class condtion & handled well, a credit to her owners. OB - O’Donnell’s CH Javidan Keep the Faith, 4 years brindle, another fabulous bitch to go over, full of breed type & balanced throughout, immaculate condition both in her gleaming coat & muscletone, exquisite head which was balanced to her size with an aloof expression from those dark triangular eyes & chiselling on the sides of her head, long well muscled neck flowed down to well laid back shoulders & deep chest with good spring of rib, short loin with ring tailset on low, well bent stifles, well covered with muscle & well let down hocks, moved effortlessly over the ground extending well in front & with plenty of drive from the rear, presented & handled well. Pushed hard in the challenge at the end but was just piped at the post as I preferred the more compact shape of my two winners in the final line up.
