Afghan Hound Club of Scotland held an Open show where BIS was Ch Kharabou Scot Wizardly Ways; RBIS, Khamis Prada at Chinzaes; & BP, Khorinya Mulberry Silk with Portianja.
Thank you to the committee for inviting me to Judge the open show, I enjoyed my judging & my thanks to exhibitors for bringing their dogs under me.
PD 1 Gleed & MacPherson’s Khorinya Habutai Silk, self/m cream, 11 months, dark eye with correct shape, balanced head, good length of neck, just at that rangy stage, good shoulder, correct fallaway with correct tailset, well bent stifle, good muscletone, moved freely. Look forward to watching him as he matures.
JD 1 K Hubutai Silk. YD 1 Langer’s Khamis Huckleberry, self/m cr/br, dark & correct shape of eye, good length of neck into well laid back shoulder, deep chest, level topline, prominent pinbones, nice croup to ringed tail. Moved with ease round the ring, good body tone.
PGD 1 Langer’s Khamis Pacific Tiger, upstanding brindle male dog, in wonderful condition & coat, presented to perfection, strong neck with good length into shoulders well laid back, good angulation at front, good depth of chest & spring of rib, good fallaway to nice ringed tail. Moved well with drive & good extension front & rear. RBD; 2 Ferguson & Mosienko’s Affyneeta Hero, compact red dog with a nice outline, in good body condition, moved well.

OD 1 Forrester & Nisbet’s Ch Kharabou Scot Wizardly Ways, lovely b/t dog, again shown in great condition, coat gleaming in the sunshine covering a well toned & muscled body, a beautifully balanced outline. Lovely head, with strong underjaw, nice chiselling, lovely dark almond shaped eye, long neck, good front assembly & return of upper arm, good depth of chest & spring of rib, well angulated rear with great muscletone, level topline leading into correct fallaway & ringed tail. Moved well with drive & extension, head held high. BD, BIS.
V 1 Elliott & Anderson’s Finix Veldicken, lovely b/cr dog 8½ years, lovely head in proportion to body, good strength of underjaw, dark eye. Good shoulder placement, good depth of chest & spring of rib, balanced rear. Moved well, enjoying his day out. BV.
PB 1 Harris & Day’s Khorinya Mulberry Silk with Portianja, lovely compact, elegant self/m cream girl, feminine head & expression, lovely head with darkest eye, very much a ‘playful’ baby, nice front, level topline with prominent pinbones, correct bend of stifle, good fallaway to nice ringed tail. Good body tone BPB, BP. JB (0).
YB 1 Leitch’s Khamis Razberi Kiss, very feminine self/m cream bitch, pleasing head & eye, good shoulder placement, well sprung ribs, level topline, well angled front & back. Presented in good body tone.
PGB 1 Gleed & McPherson’s Tamariki Fire In The Sky, self/m gold, well saddled, feminine head with correct chiselling, dark eye, deep chest, level topline to nice fallaway & correct tailset. Moved well; 2 O’Donnell & MacRae’s Joneca Taffeta at Javidan, maturing into a refined elegant bitch, presented beautifully & in great muscletone, on the move good extension front & back.
LB 1 Leitch’s Khamis Priority One, lovely feminine self/m gold bitch, well balanced overall, beautiful dark almond shape eye, good length of neck & correct lay of shoulder, good spring of rib, good bend of stifle, well muscled, moved with drive; 2 Hunter’s Cloudside Dark Empress at Sulahmara, very feminine black bitch, lovely head with the darkest of eyes, good length of neck, level topline, short loin, correct fallaway, nice bend of stifle. Moved well; 3 MacMillan’s Andishan Czarina, maturing into a lovely bitch, just a bit heavy at the moment.
OB 1 Black & Howie’s Khamis Prada at Chinzaes, feminine b/m gold, lovely head, strong underjaw, dark eye of correct shape, long neck, good front assembly, correct depth of chest, natural saddle, correct length of loin, prominent pinbones, good fallaway, good bend of stifle, nice ring tailed held correctly on move, moved freely with drive. BB, RBIS; 2 O’Donnell & MacRae’s Khamis Passion For Stripes at Javidan, lovely feminine brindle bitch, presented immaculately & in great body tone condition, a favourite of mine however feeling the heat today on the move.
