Afghan Hound Club of Scotland: Championship Show; 27th August 2011.

Dog Critique.

My thanks to the AHCS for giving me my first Championship appointment, thanks also to the exhibitors who brought their dogs under me. Scotland is a long journey for many and I was very pleased with my entry. Oatridge Equestrian Centre has a really good floor and the dogs seemed to enjoy the big rings. There was a nice atmosphere at this show.

Veteran Dog (6.5) 1st French’s Sukeshi Village Gossip at Zalmeerah, 7 yr old B/M/G with a deep natural saddle, lovely coat, masculine head, long neck, good front, moved out well for his handler, in good body & muscle, presentation was excellent, he enjoyed moving on this floor.

Puppy Dog (3) A trio of brothers in this class, 1st Morrison’s Tulak Under Seige, B/M/G 11 month old well made puppy with a wonderful head behind his monkey whiskers, nice size & good body weight, long neck, correct shoulder, and deep chest, good topline and strong loin, big feet, he has good all over balance, his handler had to work hard with him, but once he decided to concentrate his long easy stride became obvious and eye-catching.
2nd Broad head’s Tulak the Sentinel at Tazieff, taller pale gold puppy, a touch finer that his brother, but with the same excellent construction, nothing really between these two, just feel his brother is a freer mover at this stage of their development.
